Description
The RAF defeating the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain has become one of the most famous battles from the Second World War, for many reasons; it was the first major military campaign fought entirely by air forces, it was a vital part of preventing Hitler’s invasion of the British Isles and it generated one of the most famous speeches in British History. We are celebrating the Battle of Britain with a medal inspired by true British icons of World War II – a Spitfire fighter plane, the White Cliffs of Dover and key elements of Winston Churchill’s famous speech “Never in the field of conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” To earn your Battle of Britain medal, simply run or walk at least 5km.
We are proud to be supporting Combat Stress and the vital work they do with our veterans with mental health issues. £5 from every entry will be donated to Combat Stress.

Beautiful and respectful medal and ribbon, and as most of my running is around Eastleigh, the home of the Spitfire, very apt too!
