Field Gun Challenge

Description

The Joint Force Command Field Gun team based in Naples, Italy are challenging people from across the Globe to complete their 30KM virtual challenge!  Field Gun is a physically challenging sport steeped in Military, and in particular, Naval history.  The sport combines teamwork, endurance, strength and precision as the team of 18 crew move a 1200kg gun through a series of challenges along a set course.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to find yourself a 1200kg gun and 17 friends! This is a 30km virtual challenge – simply complete 30km at a time and place to suit you. You can complete it one go or break it down into multiple chunks and you can run, jog, walk, cycle or swim your way round the 30km.

The Joint Force Command Field Gun team will be doing all 30km in one go dressed in military clothing and carrying 10kg of weight to earn some extra money for their supported charity – The Oppo foundation, who help military personnel from all service backgrounds settle back into our communities after their service is over.

£4 from every entry fee will be donated to them, to support the work they do.
